Follow up to the Motivation post

This whole business of musicians moving around from church to church is made worse by churches (or music directors) who are desperate to have good music, and therefore have either no standards for who can and can't play, or will outright recruit (read: steal) musicians from other churches.  God help me, I've seen this a lot.  Paying musicians works in the short run, but creates no loyalty and not much sense of community.  The best way is to be patient, play the best music you can, and...dare I say it...trust God for the results?  This only works, of course, if church leadership is not breathing down your neck for results.
