The Sunday Musician

Ah!  I just now, this morning, made the connection:

My conversation with the afore-metioned Reverend (click here to read the sordid details) took place early last year.  Only a few months after that I'm sitting at Logan's Roadhouse on a Wednesday night with Bob.  Bob says, "I just heard from Jon--he picked up a part time job leading worship."

Jon was my intern at Big Church, and a very talented young musician.  Bob and I both watched him grow up, played with him countless times onstage, and when I left Big Church, Jon took over my job.  After a year or so Jon left that full time position so he could student teach, but he still needed part time work.   Guess who hired him as a part time worship leader--go on, guess.

Yep--the Reverend.
